How do I get help, or talk to other anglers?
There is a FishIntel Discord, and it is the fastest way to get an answer. Ask a question and you will usually hear back from Kit or another subscriber before an email would have been read. What is FishIntel?
FishIntel is an AI-powered fishing intelligence platform that analyzes government satellite data (sea surface temperatures, ocean currents, chlorophyll concentrations, and more) to generate daily fishing condition reports and species forecasts. Think of it as having an oceanographer on your team.
Where does the data come from?
We aggregate data from multiple government satellite programs and scientific ocean monitoring systems worldwide. All sources are official, publicly available, and verified. Our AI layer interprets this raw data into actionable fishing intelligence.
What areas do you cover?
US waters, wherever NOAA measures them, and the Bahamas. Your zone is built on a NOAA station, and there are hundreds to choose from: the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, the Pacific coast, Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Great Lakes and the Bahamas. In the Bahamas the only NOAA station measuring the water is Settlement Point on Grand Bahama, so most Bahamian zones are built on a NOAA tide point: the tide times are real, the rest of the conditions read is modelled at the zone itself, and the report says which is which. The Florida Keys are the most calibrated water we have, because that is where Captain Kit fishes and checks the model against what actually happened. Everywhere else gets the same conditions read; species forecasts are only offered where we have a fishery model for that water, and the report says so plainly when it does not.
How is FishIntel different from FishTrack or RT-Nav?
FishTrack and RT-Nav give you satellite chart overlays you read yourself. A free account picks its own fishing zone, built on any NOAA station in US waters or the Bahamas, and gets one full report for it: conditions, species outlook, tactics, tides and moon. The report is generated the moment you set the zone, from that day's satellite pass, and it stays on your dashboard. You also get one more full report, scheduled for any morning you choose: it is built that morning and emailed to you. Both read exactly the same satellite and buoy data the paid plan does. What the paid plan buys is a fresh one each morning, delivered to your inbox before you leave the dock, with an AI vision pass that reads the actual satellite charts rather than only the numbers behind them.
What does the paid plan include?
One plan, $29/mo or $279/yr, with everything in it: a fresh report for your zone every morning before you leave the dock, delivered by email, written by the reasoning model that won its seat in a blind reading against our previous writer, with the satellite vision pass, priority delivery, exports (JSON/CSV/GPX), the Telegram bot (ask FishIntel about your water, up to 100 questions a day), and two zones included. Extra zones are $15/zone/month. Existing subscribers on the retired Angler, Captain and Fleet plans keep their plans for as long as they stay.
